About Me

I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina where I majored in Psychology. I've had a career in management and have worked in various industries including health care, services and manufacturing.
I have published articles in national and regional magazines and maintained a quarterly management skills improvement article in a national trade magazine. I served on the Board of Directors for the Anderson (SC) Vocational Rehabilitation Center. Additionally, was the Chairman of the Public Policy Committee of the Chandler (AZ) Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the Shoals Manufacturing Association (AL) and the Arizona Association of Manufacturers. I am a founding member of the Upstate Chapter of the International Coach Association and maintain membership in the International Coach Federation and Coachville.
I am currently Primary Coach and Consultant with Beck Services Group, LLC. I live in South Carolina with my wife Madeline.

II have another book ‘in progress,’ THE GODDESS IN CAMOUFLAGE. It continues the story of the characters from AN INVESTMENT OF LIES.

Title:	An Investment of Lies
Type/Length:	A new Southern mystery An Investment of Lies is a traditional murder mystery. The main character succeeds by ‘poking around and stirring things up,’ much like the characters of Mickey Spillane, Rex Stout and Stuart Woods. The novel is character driven, yet it is action oriented with humor and snappy dialogue.
Synopsis:	Art Gaines is a cocky, smart-mouthed investigator trying to cope with his brother’s death and the humiliation of loosing the ‘girl of his dreams’ to a viola player for the Atlanta, Georgia Symphony Orchestra. When a potential client is murdered on his door step, he takes it personally. He bullies and wisecracks his way through a group of dangerous suspects, and finds himself in a world of old family money, corporate greed, real estate swindles, pornography and Southern separatist politics. As he gets closer to solving the mystery, one of the suspects tazers, kidnaps and hauls him to a remote lake with plans to drown him and make his death appear to be accidental. Art’s escape forces a bloody meeting with some of the suspects on Georgia’s Stone Mountain, where the carving of General Robert E. Lee helps send one of the murderers to his just reward. Although he is injured, he still has the strength to confront the ultimate villain and solve the case, but not without the assistance of police detective Amanda Halsell who just might become the new love of his life.
